Privacy Policy

Aquarix Marine ("we", "our", or "the Platform") respects your personal privacy and is committed to maintaining strict data protection standards. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, storage, and safeguarding of information gathered from users, seafarers, shipowners, managers, and corporate partners interacting with aquarixmarine.com and associated services.

By accessing or using our platform, calculators, study vaults, and services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

We collect information you directly provide to us through platform interactions, including:

• Company & Job Posting Data: For shipowners, ship managers, maritime employers, and RPSL-registered agencies submitting Sea or Shore job listings — company name, registered business address, authorized hiring officer name, official email address, corporate telephone/WhatsApp, RPSL license number (where applicable), vessel specifications, job descriptions, rank requirements, joining ports, and contract/wage particulars.
• Direct Contact & Inquiry Data: Your name, email address, mobile/WhatsApp number, company name, vessel rank/position, and specific message requirements submitted via our Contact or Inquiry forms.
• Newsletter Subscriptions: Email addresses submitted for regulatory bulletins, technical insights, and maritime updates.
• Maritime Voices & Article Submissions: Author names, professional designations, sailing experience, bios, and submitted manuscript content.
• Job Gateway Inquiries: Contact details, CV/resume preferences, and qualifications shared by candidates when inquiring about career opportunities.
• Usage & Device Information: Standard non-identifying technical data such as browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited to help optimize site performance.

Your information is utilized solely for legitimate operational and technical purposes:

• To verify, format, and publish authorized Sea and Shore job vacancies on behalf of recruiting companies and ship operators.
• To respond to your direct inquiries, fleet advisory requests, and seafarer technical support.
• To dispatch requested newsletters, regulatory updates, and platform announcements (with instant one-click unsubscribe options).
• To evaluate and publish approved maritime articles, editorial pieces, and industry perspectives.
• To maintain site reliability, prevent fraudulent activities, and defend against unauthorized automated bots.

We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal information to third-party advertisers under any circumstances.

We employ robust technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, tampering, or disclosure of your data. All database interactions utilize parameterized SQL prepared statements to eliminate vulnerability to injection attacks. Form submissions are filtered through multi-layer honeypot security mechanisms.

While we implement modern security measures, no data transmission across the internet is 100% guaranteed against malicious third-party interception. Users submit information at their own discretion.

To deliver a seamless, fast, and privacy-first experience, Aquarix Marine utilizes essential browser cookies and client-side Local Storage (`localStorage` / `sessionStorage`):

• On-Device Interactive Records: When you use our nautical calculators, take MCQ practice tests, or track oral scenario checklists, your inputs, recent calculation history, and test scores are saved locally on your own computer or device.
• Zero Server Tracking of Tool Inputs: These interactive calculation inputs and temporary test attempts are NOT uploaded to, logged on, or tracked by our central web servers. They remain strictly within your personal browser environment.
• Persona & Interface Preferences: Essential cookies are used to remember your active interface persona (e.g. For Seafarers or For Companies) and display preferences.
• How You Can Delete Your On-Site Records: You have 100% full control over all locally stored data. You can delete or reset these records at any time either by clicking the in-tool "Reset / Clear" button where available, or directly through your web browser settings by navigating to Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Browsing Data / Site Data & Cookies.

You have full rights and control over any personal or business information you have consented to provide to us (including contact inquiries, company details, email newsletter subscriptions, and maritime article submissions).

Under our data governance policy, you have the right to:

• Request Data Access & Rectification: You may request confirmation of what information we hold regarding your inquiries or company listings and ask for corrections, updates, or modifications.
• Request Permanent Data Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You may at any time request the complete and permanent deletion of your contact records, company inquiry logs, or submitted profile data from our databases.
• Withdraw Subscription Consent: You may opt out of receiving technical updates, newsletters, or notifications at any time with immediate effect.

To request the review, modification, or permanent deletion of your stored records, simply send an email from your registered address to contact@aquarixmarine.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Our compliance team will process and permanently remove your records within 24 to 48 business hours.
